Meet The Director:

Tristan Smith is an award-winning journalist, photographer, videographer, and editor. His varied living experiences in Florida, New York, and New England have given him a strong rapport with people from a litany of demographics, religions, and cultures. Tristan graduated from Northampton High School and then pursued a journalism degree at UMass Amherst. After graduating from UMass Amherst in 2022, Tristan worked as a news reporter for the digital news publication Masslive. He would go on to write hundreds of articles on various topics out of the commonwealth of Massachusetts. From crimes and courts to business openings and politics, Tristan’s pen constantly moved. Wanting to share stories with an even larger audience, he eventually transitioned to the video storytelling space and pursued documentaries. The connections he developed as a reporter allowed him to pursue a documentary on the Hampden County District Attorney Office’s “Emerging Adult Court of Hope”(EACH) program. He singlehandedly shot the project and is currently in the midst of the final shots, editing, sound mixing and color grading phase of the project.
