Classical Violinist Keith Colón, Jr. began studies at age 12 and continued violin studies with grammy award winning violinist, Christopher Collins Lee and Cleveland Chandler. He is a graduate of Archbishop Spalding High School where he was concert master for the String Ensemble and a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society. He also attended college at Drexel University where he was the concertmaster of the Drexel University Symphony Orchestra and performed with the Drexel University chamber strings. He has attended and worked with the Summertrios chamber Music Festival for a decade, and now serves as the Artistic Coordinator and as a member of the board. He has performed as a part of the Pennsylvania Philharmonic, Robert Glasper’s Black Radio Orchestra, Daniel Bowen’s Symphony 21, the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater, and as a part of the Griot and Gallery quartets. And he has been blessed to perform for award winning artists such as Damien Sneed, Richard Smallwood, and Twinkie Clark.
